Hey happy Monday! I have some awesome news, I got my cast off this morning and I'm in a boot and can somewhat walk around which means I can probably get on the wheel tomorrow. Things are going well in this class, I just finished my cup project and my plantar came out of the bisque so I started glazing that as well. One of my set of two plates is bone-dry and ready to be fired and I am letting the other one dry out in my locker for about another day or so. I took a really cool picture of my two plates and the base of my plantar that really illustrates the three stages of clay that I thought were cool. I have also included a picture of my fired plantar set.
Hey so today I finished my cup project, it was supposed to have a pulled handle, but i was not aware of that until after it was made :( Hopefully I can get back on the wheel soon and make a new cup on the wheel, I really miss it. Throwing is so calming and peaceful amid all the stress and anxiety in my life.
On another note, the quarter is almost over and I still have about three projects still to do because of how much school I missed. Thanks for being understanding. Sorry for the long lapse in posts, however a lot has been going on in my life right now.
I recently broke the end of my fibula, which is a real bummer because I can no longer get on the wheel. So i will be making supplimental hand projects instead, bear with me through this. Hi, I really, really, really, need to post my projects on my grading blog. However, My mom has been gone on a business trip for two weeks, so I have been unable to take any pictures of me projects. Bear with me and I will get those done as soon as possible. |
